Ouroboros - Pewter Finish
$22.95
This sculpture, an original piece from The Black Broom, is made of cast stone and measures approximately 6 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide. It is hand-painted with an aged pewter look. The eye is glass and hand-painted as well. There is a hook on the back for hanging or would also make a great altar piece. This comes brand new and packaged in a beautifully designed box. Made in the USA.
The Ouroboros (also spelled Oroborus, Uroboros or Uroborus) is an ancient symbol depicting a snake or dragon swallowing its own tail, constantly creating itself and forming a circle. It stands for infinity or wholeness. In alchemy, the ouroboros is a purifying sigil and symbolises the circular nature of the alchemist's opus which unites the opposites: the conscious and unconscious mind.
