Pan Pewter Statue
61.95
This sculpture, an original piece from The Black Broom, is made of lead-free pewter and stands approximately 6.25 inches tall and 3.5 inches across the base. This is brand new and comes packaged in a beautifully designed box. Made in the USA.
Pan is the Greek god who watches over shepherds and their flocks and is one of the prototype deities invoked in the neopagan archetype of the Horned God. He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a satyr. His parentage is unclear; in some legends he is the son of Zeus and in some he is the son of Hermes. His mother is said to be a nymph. Pan is famous for his sexual prowess, and is often depicted with an erect phallus as is the case with this statue. He was believed by the Greeks to have plied his charms primarily on maidens and shepherds.
